Wash Day

On today's wash day I wanted to straighten my hair in order to do a length check. I cut my hair a couple of months ago because of breakage from protein. Now I'm ready for a length check because my hair has grown a lot since then.

The products I used were VO5 Moisture Milks Strawberries and Cream Moisturizing Conditioner, Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave In Conditioner, Coconut Oil (Orange and White Container), Olive Oil (Not Pictured Here),  Avalon Strengthening Peppermint Shampoo, Avalon Strengthening Peppermint Conditioner, It's a 10 Miracle Leave In Conditioner, It's A 10 Miracle Hair Mask, FHI Hot Sauce (Not Pictured Here), and I did not use the bottle of It's A 10 Silk Express Smoothing Balm.  It's in the photo but I changed my mind at the last minute and decided to use the FHI Hot Sauce.
For starters, I sectioned my hair into small parts. Then I applied a little water, coconut oil, olive oil, V05 conditioner, and Herbal Essences leave in to each part. Afterwards, I finger detangled each section of hair, and used a wide tooth comb to remove any remaining tangles.
After detangling I twisted each section of hair.  Next, I washed and conditioned my hair in sections.  BTW the Avalon Shampoo and Conditioner I bought was ALL WRONG. I haven't come across a shampoo and conditioner that I really despised until I used the Avalon. I should have known better because clearly the bottle says strengthening which means PROTEIN in most cases.

I don't have any photos of what my hair looked like after using the Avalon but it wasn't pretty. Thanks to my It's a 10 Miracle Hair Mask, my hair softened up after deep conditioning.

Once I rinsed my hair of deep conditioner, I wrapped my hair in a t-shirt to air dry for a couple of minutes. Next, I applied my It's A 10 Miracle Leave In, and FHI Hot Sauce.

I blow dried my hair with the Conair Yellow Bird Blow dryer w/ attachment that I purchased from Sally's and flat ironed my hair with the KQC flat iron that I ordered from Flat Iron Experts a few years ago.

By the way, I have found a new love of the FHI Hot Sauce. It works like magic. I smoothed it on my wet hair and once I passed the blow drier over a section of hair it was instantly tamed. I've owned this one particular bottle of FHI Hot Sauce for a couple of years but I think I'm going to finish the bottle now. Refurbished! Hehehee its shelf life is probably expired but it still works great!  Also, I didn't add any product to my hair after blow drying. The FHI did all the work.

PICTURES OF MY BLOW DRIED HAIR WAS SUPPOSE TO BE HERE BUT....I forgot to take a snap of it. Have a great weekend everyone. You peeps are so awesome!
