My Thoughts: This conditioner and I have had a love-hate relationship going on. I purchased it a few years ago but I returned it because it made my hair feel like straw. I used it on shampooed wet hair to deep condition. No joke, my hair felt like a styrofoam cup!!! However, I rediscovered it a year ago when I saw Chime (HairCrush) from Youtube swear by this product. So, I gave it another shot but instead of using it by itself, I used it with a moisturizing deep conditioner, and that seemed to have broken the KELLOGG'S RICE CRISPY effect I experienced the first time.

Now, I primarily and sparingly use it for protein treatments. On wash days, once a month, I co-wash my hair, apply a moisturizing deep conditioner all over my hair, and apply this conditioner only on the ends of my hair. Because I'm natural, I don't need a lot of protein throughout my hair. I only need it on the oldest/weakest portions of my strands.

I can definitely say that this product restores damage after salon treatments.  This deep conditioner helped my curls spring back and thicken after using it for a few weeks after I got my hair straightened professionally back in May. However, after a few weeks of using this conditioner weekly, I did notice that my hair was beginning to harden again. For my hair, I think it's best to use this conditioner once a month.

Also, I love the smell of this product. It smells very herbal and minty. I can definitely smell the witch hazel in it.  However, the smell does not linger in the hair and the product rinses away completely. I also like that this product has no fragrance added. The goodness you smell is all natural and organic ingredients doing all the work.  It's like aromatherapy in a bottle. The closest thing I can compare the smell to is the Noxema facial mask I use to use when I was a teenager. I don't know if Noxema still has that distinctive smell. Someone let me know if it does *giggles*.

The consistency of this product is very thick and creamy.  I'm not sure if you can see from the photo below but this conditioner has a silvery golden luster to it. When I scooped some of the product out of the jar, it has a peanut butter thickness and an oatmeal-like texture. I can literally see chunks of the ingredients throughout the product. With that being said, it smooths out as you rub it between your hands and apply it to the hair.  It doesn't sit on the hair and a little goes a long way.  I've had this product since last year and I still have half a bottle left.

As far as the packaging, it is bottled and has a squeeze top.  Sometimes, the thick product gets stuck in the top portion of the squeeze top and won't come out of the bottle.  However, running warm water through the top usually loosens it for me. That's not a deal breaker for me.
